Hi!

I'm Rach, the face behind and owner of Velvet Blossom Beauty. And I only do one thing. But first, a little more about me!

​

​I was born in Cardiff but grew up in Abergavenny!  I am currently the proud mum of 2 teenagers and 2 cats (so basically 4 teens), and I have always had a passion for skincare! But I didn't start here. Like most millennials (yes, I know), I went to university and then proceeded to work in a job I didn't really want,  but hey! It paid the bills.

I am one of those who were eventually caught in the university redundancies in 2025. Having lived a lot of life (some really not pleasant) I chose this change to pursue my passion for skincare. Thinking about who I am as a person, and what makes me excited, I decided go train as an Esthetician. But what is that I hear you ask? Good question! 

​

An Esthetician is an advanced beautician specialising in skin care. They study a specific qualification in esthetics, and can then tailor treatments to a clients skin care type and needs. This goes beyond a normal facial. They will usually partner with professional skin care brands, as these brands will have high active content in their products. This means better results for you! And access to certain brands retail that you will not find in other places. They also are fully qualified to perform microneedling, chemical peels, dermaplaning and a host of other cosmetic treatments!

So I only offer one thing. And that is this. A tailored treatment plan carefully curated SPECIFICALLY for your skin. This might include microneedling sessions, or a session of chemical peels. And this will change based on where you are in your skin journey as well. And yes! I also include some home care products for you to use. What I won't do:

​

• Push skin care on you that you don't need

• Try to sell you treatments you don't need

• Give you general advice not tailored specifcally to you

• Force you to do something or buy something you are not comfortable with

• Rush. Your experience is important!

What I will do:

​

• Use my knowledge and expertise to recommend the right thing for your skin

• Complete an in depth skin analysis on your face

• Tailor a treatment plan specifically to you, and not a generic package

• If you only need maintenance,  I'll tell you that

• Use my product knowldge to recommend the right products for you

• Get results, not sales

• Be honest. If I  cant help you, I will tell you. Sometimes I cannot treat your skin the way you want. You may need specialist help. I am not a Doctor, so I will advise you see one if necessary

• Tell you everything I am doing step by step if you want me too

• Treat you with courtesy and respect, which should be mutual!

• I only partner with brands that I feel align with my own. These are carefully selected for their results and formulation. Nothing mid here!

Sounds good, right? Your skin is a journey, not a quick fix. And that is what you SHOULD be getting when you see an Esthetician. Something uniquely for you. Something tailored to your skin. Together, we can create

your skin, beautifully.
